International Woman's Day!

International Woman's Day, A day celebrated in honor of the women who consistently stand strong for who they are, climb and escalate to new levels, and leave their mark upon the world. This day has always held a special place in my heart. Too often women are being thought of as a object rather than a blessing. The importance in respecting our women today is vital. Being a woman myself, I know the constant pressure to fit in, wear all the right brands, and have all the coolest contacts. But I have something to say, I think women shouldn't have to conform to what the world wants them to be. I think that the most amazing thing created was confidence. The key to being set free, reaching the top of the mountain that you thought you couldn't reach , but did. Being a strong woman is always followed with confidence right behind her. So, you have a few flaws, news flash! I and every other person does too. To my ladies, never let anyone tell you who you are nor objectify you , cause girl, you got it all on you're own. Never let anyone or any man define you. You are incredible the way you are. Please know that and live that. You shine brighter than a thousand gems in the sun, flawless beauty is you're theme song. Keep it real girls. You are loved, cherished and without women in this world, we woulden't have a world. Shine bright and keep slaying. You are a queen. 💕👑 - A Xo

If Life's A Movie, Where's The Popcorn?

Have you ever heard someone say "life is like a movie, you just sit back and enjoy the show"? Well, I sure have. I remember a number of years ago I was at a local theatre only to walk in and see a line for the consession stand all the way to both doors. Ugh, who wants to wait in line that long? Not me! So I proceeded into the theatre to find my seat ..without any snacks. I'm all for going to see movies in the theatres but who goes in without a snack?! Apparently I did. As I sat down all I could think about was munching on some popcorn and drinking a cold pop. I was irritated but it beat standing in line for forever. Soon enough, the lights began to fade and people started to quiet , the movie was starting. I don't think even a happy meal from McDonalds could have lightened my mood. So after about 2 hours of sitting watching a movie-without a snack, it was over. I was hungry, annoyed and just so done with the consession stand workers (even though they did nothing), sou...

Introducing Me!

Hey Everyone! Welcome to My Blog. My name is Abby, and I'm 17 years old. I have always thought the idea of having a blog would be so neat. From the bloggers who over ecstatically give bits and pieces to the well, hacks of life to the ones who use it as an outlet to realease their most transparent thoughts. Hate to break the ice this way, but I'm neither. I think that digging deep into how we genuinely feel and acknowledging that No, we're not perfect and Yes, we will be thrown curveballs in life is completely ok. As I thought of what to name my blog, I had some rather strange ideas, such as : popcorntobutter , like what does that even mean?! It finally came to me. I chose to name it Diamonds Pearls And Problems because let's face it, life is certainly not glitter and diamonds all the time. This blog is aimed mainly towards the attention of women,  but can be for anyone. We all have those questions in life, the ones we never seem to get answers to. Ya know , the ones th...

Hey, I'm Back

Hey ya'll. I firstly want to apologize for this INSANELY late post, life has been...SUPER busy, and SUPER dramatic to say the least. A lot has happened since the last time I was on here. So, where to start? weeelll, my life has been nothing short of complicated. I started this incredible new life here at KU, and am loving it here, though homework load is slowly crushing my every inch of sanity. Oh, yeah I broke up with my ( ex) boyfriend of two and a half years, guess that's recent. Why did I do this, you ask? I had known for a long time that we were not meant to be together, maybe for a short time, but I knew we were not supposed to be together forever. Yeah, that was hard. I had a lot of support through it, though. My parents offered a lot of support, my best friend, and some friends from school. One in particular really was/is a huge help and support, not sure how I would have gotten through this without him, not to sound overdramatic or anything, but really that's the t...
